T8

So in Hong Kong there are mainly three seasons: the summer - hot and humid, the winter - not quite cold and can be rainy, and the monsoon - big fat rain and occasional typhoons which hit the city and make our windows wobble. Tomorrow, T8 is meaning to hit. T8 means that you don't go to work and stay where you are (woohoo), and T10 means that you tape your windows and stay where you are (not so woohoo). I shouldn't be, but I'm actually quite excited! I don't generally love storms, but I just feel that it's a way of acclimating ourselves to the HK tropical Asian climate. People fill up their fridges as if WWIII was declared, trees start moving their palms, and TVs are all on to follow the alerts. The problem is... our fridge broke down! So we don't have any fresh food for tomorrow when the the typhoon is due, and we have almost seen all of our DVDs! But we should survive our first one and take pictures for you to see :-) i'll update you very soon.
lots of love to you all.
